There comes a time in your life when you just want to run wild.
With the whispers of summer already in the air, this is a time when my mind wanders to parts of the world unexplored as yet.
It brings back past inner-wild-child times of white water rafting with a bunch of girlfriends and admiring all those hunky white water rafting guides in their element and hoping that just for a brief and shining moment we could be in our water element right along with them.
I also think of my current wild child who loves to wander to the beat of her own unique dream beat - some days she's in a world of her own trying to fit into this one but for her, my girl, I wish it was not to be. I wish for her that it would be okay not to fit in ever. To find her own rhythm, to find the beat that matches her own, not always having to fit into the world that seems too small for her but to break free of the norm in a way that makes it okay in a peaceful clash-free way.
