I have had the good fortune to be able to travel often during the last few years.

Most times I have had contact with a rather cheeky security officer named Stephen. He's threatened to take my sandwich, teased me about holding up the line by not taking off my jacket, and what all I have in my purse that's an odd shape - plenty!

So this last time my hunky man Mr. Bob and I went through security at YXS, and sure enough we came across Stephen once again.

This time he asked my guy where we were heading and Mr. Bob being Mr. Bob told Stephen we were heading to Vancouver for the Ma Murray Awards - it's a newspaper awards gala and when I walked into the conversation I was nosey - big surprise! - and asked what they were chatting about. They told me and Stephen said he recognized me from my Songs of the Day. And then promptly told me that I had to include John Paul Young's Love Is In The Air because, well, of course it's Stephen's favourite song and it's brilliant, of course, so it's very worthy of the distinction of being Song of the Day. So here you go, Stephen, just for you! We're looking at a Throwback Thursday all the way to 1977. The song was written by George Young and Harry Vanda and became Young's only worldwide hit in 1978.
