I jumped on the Bruno Mars bandwagon back in December 2012 when he released his sophomore album Unorthodox Jukebox. I called it my favourite album of the year, and I'm pretty sure I wore it out (figuratively, seeing how I own a digital copy) well into 2013.
Mars had a chance to wow audiences on a grand scale when he more-than-capably tore down the Super Bowl halftime stage earlier this year. And he's impressing me again with his latest release, a collaboration with British do-it-all Mark Ronson.
The single, Uptown Funk, is one of those impossible-to-hear-and-sit-still tracks. With the signature Ronson horns, this is a throwback to the 1970s that is being used to lead off Ronson's upcoming album slated for release in 2015. And if Uptown Funk is any indication, it's going to be a monster.
