Every so often, I forget that I've acquired a new song through iTunes and get a pleasant surprise when it pops up on my playlist.
Recently, that song was Milky Chance's Down by the River. It's an upbeat folk-pop song that features an almost harp-like electronic guitar loop matched incongruously with a raspy vocal from vocalist Clemens Rehbein. The German duo (the other member is DJ Philipp Dausch) released their debut album Sadnecessary last year.
And given our geographic location in Prince George any new reference to being down by a river (that doesn't include a van), is welcome.
