Remember, remember the fifth of November. Today is Guy Fawkes Day, which is mainly observed in England.
On Nov. 5, 1605, Guy Fawkes - better known today as the face on the mask everyone wears at public demonstrations - was arrested for his role in the plot to blow up the House of Lords.
What does any of this have to do with my song choice today? Absolutely nothing, other than the fact that Fawkes is associated with November - and so is Guns N' Roses, thanks to their 1992 hit November Rain.
I remember the first time I saw the video for this song and the level to which I didn't understand. Did the rain that fell on the wedding day cause homeboy's new wife to die? Was it acid rain? All very confusing for a six year old.
