Maroon 5 is one of my favourite bands. Yes, even before Adam Levine rose to television super stardom on The Voice. The band tells a story in each of their songs that's just so relatable. And these old ears really appreciate it that I can understand every word that's sung. There's nothing worse that trying to relate to a song's meaningful words and getting lost along the way.
Elton John's Hold Me Closer, tiny dancer, finds it's way to Hold Me Closer, Tony Danza, which is cool but just not right.
Or Steppenwolf's Born To Be Wild lyrics I like smoke and lightnin' quickly turned to I like smoking lightnin - even I didn't know what I actually meant but it sure sounded cool because I was looking for adventure so I got that part right and since I was full of good intentions I think I can be forgiven.
