The Midsummer's Dream Festival goes this weekend, featuring some cool sounds out in Pineview. It's a showcase of electronic and alternative artists performing all day and right through the night.
When I informed reporter Charelle Evelyn that I'd like to go out to see Goosebumpz, the Australian electronic act, she rolled her eyes (she does that a lot when I talk to her) and said I was too old AND too square to attend such an event.
I objected and then I looked up the schedule of performers (www.midsummersdreampg.com/) and was alarmed to discover that Goosebumpz won't take the stage until 1 a.m. on Sunday morning. Notice I said Sunday morning and not Saturday night.
That's WAY past my bedtime.
But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy the fun sounds of Goosebumpz, old and square or not.
I'm a big fan of Popcorn so I'm urging you to check it out on Soundcloud. I think you'll like it.
Welcome to smoky Prince George, Goosebumpz. Hope you drop some great, hypnotic beats during your set.
Sadly, I'll already be tucked away in my bed by the time you're doing it.
