For my song of the day I picked Stay With Me by Sam Smith because it's just such a melodic song with the artist's pure, high tone stretching to heights not ordinarily achieved by the male voice.
The whole video has a haunting, almost innocent, atmosphere to it, rather ironically, considering he's talking about a one-night stand while singing in what looks to be a place of worship.
Stay With Me is part of Smith's In The Lonely Hours album and hit the top 10 on the Billboard charts in the past few weeks.
It's nice to see an artist keep it simple. And hey, there's not one car chase, no naughty twerking girls and nothing blows up. He just opens his mouth and out comes this beautiful lilting voice.
