It's Monday again, and for most people that means the beginning of their work week.
Work can be a stressful place and it's easy to get overwhelmed, discouraged and disheartened.
That's why it's important to keep things in perspective. Compared to workers in many parts of the world, Canadian workers are largely safe, healthy and well-paid while on the job.
Back in 1967 Ron Angel of the folk band The Teesside Fettlers from northeast England wrote an unforgettable song about the working conditions in England during and following the Industrial Revolution. All across the developing world there are millions, if not billions, of workers who could relate to the spirit -if not the specifics - of the song.
Newfoundland folk-rockers Great Big Sea cranked the song up in a cover version on their 1995 album Up.
The Chemical Worker's Song (Process Man) will make you look at that overflowing in box, boring meeting or nagging boss with new appreciation.
