Rod Stewart sings Maggie May on this video. The love 'em and leave 'em song hit number one and launched Stewart's career in 1971, leading to more than 100 million records sold over a few decades as a rock super star.
The video opens with Rod telling us the why of this song and then we hear the how, which is wow, by the way. Rod's stage presence and finesse are classic Stewart rocker moves.
At 69 years old, he's hitting the road again this year, touring alone for part of the year as well as with Carlos Santana during the tour they're calling The Voice, the Guitar, the Songs.
Stewart then ends the year with a sweet gig at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, something he did last year, too.
I'm not sure why I think that Vegas is a perfect fit for him, but it is. Both he and Vegas are super slick. I'm thinking that he might just be the reason to take a quick trip to the naughty city of sin.
And while I'm checking for vacation package deals, you can check him out in all his hot live action at http://youtu.be/ek4cUOlxwgQ.
