When I was a young kid we used to watch a lot of black and white shows on the TV. Probably because we only had a black and white TV. My parents loved movies from when they were younger, the '40s and '50s. There was usually lots of singing and dancing, and often top hats and tails worn by people like Fred Astaire as he danced across the floor.
At the time I hated watching the movies as I was a kid, but as I have grown older I have garnered a strange appreciation for them. Although the synchronized swimmers moving to music never quite did it for me. Lately while listening to Will.i.am on the radio, there was a strange '50s vibe to the song Bang Bang and when I looked it up on Youtube sure enough, there was Will.i.am in top hat and tails with a band of people in top hats and tails. The song is typical Will.i.am dance/pop/hip hop music with a touch of '40s thrown in for good measure.
