Song of the Day

A long, time ago in a land far away, a few guys came up with the idea of a peer-to-peer file-sharing system where people could share files from their home computers directly over the Internet. The system, called Napster, exploded over a short amount of time into the biggest music sharing program around and was often copied by such programs as Gnutella, Limewire, Freenet, eDonket and more. Anyone who had a computer was downloading music on Napster and burning their own CDs. Moms, dads, teenagers, priests, accountants and teachers were all downloading.

It was a slap in the face to the music industry that was charging what people saw as huge money for a CD that might contain only two or three good songs.

I too joined the Napster revolution and this was also the first time I listened to house/techno music. One of the songs I had was not what the title said it was. This was often the case as porn and viruses became more prevalent throughout Napster. Not that they necessarily went hand-in-hand.

Since then I have listened to various amounts of house/techno/trance, some of it good and some just total rubbish. However one of the first tunes I liked was called The Underground by Celeda.

I can't call it a song as there are few words in it, and those that there are, are all spoken. However, it does have a hypnotic drum beat that shouldd easily have you tapping your feet. You can listen to the song here youtube.com/watch?v=sdpo_-3QfHc.
