Song of the Day

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has hit new lows this week -from humiliating his wife on live TV to becoming the punchline for David Letterman, Jon Stewart, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert.

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has hit new lows this week -from humiliating his wife on live TV to becoming the punchline for David Letterman, Jon Stewart, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert.

From Ford's (and his friends', family's and spouse's) disgrace, there is a cautionary tale to be learned: kids, don't do municipal politics (or crack... or binge drink...)

And while the world is laughing at Ford and Toronto, the reality is there is nothing funny about alcohol and drug addictions.

For the sake of the City of Toronto, his family and, most of all, himself, it is time for Ford to resign and seek professional help before he ends up killing himself or someone else.

Today's song of the day is by an incredibly-talented singer whose battles with drugs and alcoholism ultimately killed her at the age of 27 on July 23, 2011.

Rehab, from Amy Winehouse's 2006 album Back to Black, is basically the list of all the excuses addicts have for not getting treatment. It also features Winehouse at the top of her game.

If she'd said "yes" to rehab instead of "no, no, no" Winehouse might still be alive today and making music.
