Song of the Day

In the swaggering, shallow, misogynistic and materialistic world of rap, Classified stands out for making hip hop with heart - call it hip hope.

3 Foot Tall is the latest single from the Nova Scotian's self-titled album, which was released in January. The album has already drawn praise for the single Inner Ninja, which reached the No. 5 slot on the charts in Canada and earned Classified a Juno and a pair of MuchMusic Video Awards.

3 Foot Tall is about the labels people use to put others down and make them feel small. Perhaps Quebec Premier Pauline Marois and the Parti Qubcois should listen to this before voting on the proposed Charter of Quebec Values - except, of course, they won't because the song is in English.
