Robin Thicke, son of Canadian actor Alan Thicke, has been working in the music industry for years.
However, Thicke's newest single, Blurred Lines, has catapulted him to star -or at least one-hit-wonder - status. The song features additional vocals by T.I. and Pharrell, and is the lead track from Thicke's sixth album, also called Blurred Lines.
The song combines the slick, sleazy charm of the Rat Pack crooners with a Marvin Gaye-esq R&B sound - but with decidedly modern sensibilities. Blurred Lines is to this decade what Gaye's Sexual Healing was to the 1980s.
