Viral videos are strange creatures. As Jimmy Kimmel demonstrated, they can be created for the sole purpose of capturing the zeitgeist. He recently revealed that he was behind the infamous 'girl catches fire while attempting to twerk' sensation (http://youtu.be/HSJMoH7tnvw). Others, however, are created innocently and are ignited by their ability to tap into some unknown niche no one realized needed to be filled. Norwegian comedic duo Ylvis wrote and recorded a song with superstar producer Stargate for their TV variety show. It went up on YouTube Sept. 3 and has since garnered more than 14 million views. At its core, it's a stupid song about the kind of noise that a fox makes. But for some reason, it's one of the best things I've seen online this year.
