Last Friday night I was able to find redemption - of sorts. The evening marked the re-release of 1993's blockbuster Jurassic Park. I pushed aside any consternation caused by thinking about the fact that I'm old enough to remember seeing a movie celebrating its 20th anniversary and reveled in the glee of getting to experience Steven Speilberg's incredible film in a cinema setting again. I can vividly remember going to the movie with my family when I was seven years old, the outing wrapping up an afternoon of Fathers' Day activities. I also very clearly remember wrenching my body around to tuck my face between the seats every time the Tyrannosaurus Rex roared. But on Friday I faced the dinosaur flick head on, with barely a flinch (I can't say the same was true for my roommate squirming in the seat beside me). So in honour of my triumph over the fearsome beast, have some Children of the Revolution, a 1972 single from the U.K.'s T.Rex: http://youtu.be/TjL7vO8-NOg
