My favourite band has been the same since I was in Grade 8, which is a rare feat. Luckily, the music Linkin Park made when I was 13, while still enjoyable, isn't the music they're making now that I'm 27. It's no longer necessary for all the music I consume to have the same angst-tinged, heavy guitars of the band's debut album. These days I find myself drifting more towards music with an electronic flavour and, lo and behold, LP is right there with me, evolving with each album released. Their latest effort is A Light That Never Comes, a collaboration with house DJ/producer Steve Aoki. While for me it was instantly recognizable as a Linkin Park track, I doubt it would be to people who only know them for One Step Closer or In the End.
