City and Colour, the group that is actually Dallas Green (His first name is the City and his last name is the Colour - get it?), put out a new record last month called The Hurry and the Harm, anchored by a great first single called Thirst.
It's a sombre mid-tempo rocker from a sombre guy and a candidate from one of the best Canadian songs of the year. And with the July weather upon us, who doesn't have a thirst to quench? Check out this live version of Thirst, performed back in April when the band played in front of a bunch of rabid Toronto Maple Leafs before the team hosted its first playoff game in nine years.
