I'm always on the lookout for good new hard rock bands, and Pop Evil from Grand Rapids, Mich. is worth keeping an eye on.
The band's third album Onyx launched early this year, and the lead single Trenches shot to the top of the U.S. mainstream rock chart. In Canada, it's risen as high as 19 on the active rock charts.
Trenches features plenty of hot and heavy guitar work, defiant lyrics and a maturity not seen in Pop Evil's earlier albums.
