While some musicians rise rapidly to fame and then quickly descend into relative obscurity, others have staying power that crosses generations.
Perhaps no band still active today has had the staying power of The Rolling Stones -with good reason. Even though the band peaked creatively in the 1960s and early 1970s, their solid, unpretentious rock n' roll is still in style.
The hopping, bluesy sound of 1968's Jumpin' Jack Flash makes it a rock classic. Listen to the studio version online here: http://youtu.be/jCdWB_0loCo or watch the Stones perform it live in 2006 in front of 1.5 million people (yes, million) on Copacabana Beach here: http://youtu.be/a6lJ071MeKA.
