It's been said that music is a universal language. But when French artists put out songs with English lyrics, it's even easier for us non-bilingual plebians to get in on the fun.
My song for today comes courtesy of French turnablists C2C. Over their 15-year history, the quartet from Nantes who met in high school have consistently bested the competition circuit but haven't released their own work until last year.
In a world where some of the most well-known names in electronic music stand behind a laptop and press play while a being shadowed by a light show, the work produced by C2C in their 2012 debut album Tetra is a breath of fresh air. They treat their decks as musical instruments and create some incredibly upbeat songs in the process.
