Anyone who knows me well knows I'm a huge fan of musicals. It doesn't matter what form it takes - theatre, screen, jukebox, original - I'm all for it. For people who don't enjoy musicals, it can be daunting. Just ask my roommate. But I'm wearing her down. I'm easing her in to it with jukebox musicals - which use already popular music - and got her to watch Moulin Rouge with me this weekend. One of the key songs in the film is Nature Boy, popularized by Nat King Cole in the late 1940s. It gets a otherworldly lift by David Bowie and Massive Attack for the film's 2001 soundtrack.
