Avenged Sevenfold will be coming to Prince George on April 13. On April 14 there is likely to be some people walking around with a smile on their face and their ears still ringing.
The California metal band has been at it since 1999, but didn't have an album crack the top 10 on the charts until their self-titled fourth album in 2007.
Two albums later, Avenged Sevenfold has found the right balance between metal and mainstream rock -mainstream enough to get radio play, while still being metal enough for their core fans.
Their latest album, Hail to the King, went No. 1 in Canada, the U.K. and the U.S. - and topped charts around the globe.
The title track is a solid hunk of mainstream metal, with just enough sharp edges to be worth a second listen.
