Referring to Mayor Green's comment that the city is not in the business of golf, I wonder what, exactly, is the definition of the business of the city.
In recent months it has become evident that the concerns of some citizens do not warrant support by the city. While on the other hand business for profit usually does.
One cannot argue the need for investment in this city, but a balance between what creates profit and what adds to the quality of life in this city is also needed.
I do hope that our city council listens to the wishes of those citizens who place great value on the survival of the Pine Valley Golf Course.
