My two worst pet peeves

#1 Lack of snow removal year after year. This is such a huge safety feature. So I feel the need to write in again. It took you seven days to clean our street and some streets still are not cleaned. You say you go by the same five color coded zones used in garbage removal. That is BULL! Our garbage day is Monday and yet we weren't plowed until Thursday! Also, other neighbourhoods who had Monday garbage were not plowed.

People ask you, "Why are back alleys being done before main streets or we come from other snow communities and have never seen such lousy snow removal!" Instead of answering their questions, you pass the buck by quoting snow clearing policy sets priorities and the order that streets will be plowed. It's obvious they don't know what they're doing because it's not working.

Perhaps you can see that policies are not written in stone and snow removal could be reexamined and fixed.

Some streets that are not high priority or bus route get plowed first. Hmmm, wonder who lives on that street! Please give your heads a shake and realize we live in the NORTH always gets lot of snow and plan for it.

#2. Once again it to do with snow and postal delivery. You always hear keep your driveways and walkways clean of snow, so the letter carriers can make it thru. I don't have a problem with that, I always clean my drive. What irks me is that the letter carriers don't use it. They cut across the yards thru the high snow even snow banks we have thrown the other snow on. The only part of the driveway they use is to walk across the drive way to the other piled snow banks and they plow thru the banks. Somehow, there is something wrong with this picture. Please explain this to me.
