I am writing in concern for the driving habits of a select number of people here in Prince George. I work in the community and I spend a lot of time in my vehicle travelling from work site to work site. Quite often I am appalled by driving habits of other drivers.
Most recently I was driving up 15th Ave. The road is very slippery even with studded tires. I look in my rear view mirror and there is a truck speeding towards me. He passed me without a signal and then proceeded to cut me off again without a signal.
I am concerned the worse the roads get the faster and dumber people get. In the past week I have seen two people on cell phones while sliding all over the road. I have seen countless people driving too fast for the conditions. I have had people pass me on the shoulder of the road and narrowly taking out my side mirrors.
Through all this I wonder when will people get the hint. Cell phones are illegal while driving, speeding is illegal, drinking and driving is illegal, passing on the shoulder of the road is dumb. When will people get the clue? When they do a dumb stunt like this and end up killing someone.
If where you're going requires you to drive like a moron, maybe leave sooner and help everyone to get where they are going safely.
