Our street is basically a series of playground zones and school zones and it greatly upsets me that not only do the general public not follow the posted speed limits but many of the public transit do not as well. Maybe people forget playground zones are in effect from dawn to dusk and school zones from 8 am to 5 pm. Even with winter weather upon us people often go faster than the posted 30km/hr speed limit. Stopping time is greatly delayed on snowy and icy streets and children are always walking on these streets as well as playing in their front yards.
People need to slow down and be mindful of the limits, they are there for a reason... No one's final destination is more important than a person's life.
