I would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in identifying, arresting, and bringing forth charges against the individual accused of the aggravated sexual assault in Lorne park.
I will not use the name of the accused here, as he deserves no fame, but I wish instead that I could personally thank the RCMP as a whole, but specifically the individual members whose efforts led to a prompt arrest. Residents of the area can sleep a little easier tonight thanks to your hard work and dedication. I know your job is not an easy one, and you all face more than your fair share of abuse and derision on a regular basis, but please understand how appreciated the service you provide is to me, my family and countless others just like us.
I hope that the individual members of the RCMP whose work led to such a swift arrest are properly recognized by the powers that be in that organization for a job well done. To the witnesses who assisted with tips and information, I thank you all. We could all stand to pay a little more attention, and be just a little more willing to lend a hand and get involved.
