Skeptical over supposed facts

Mr. Lundquist's gobal warning facts letter mentions that CO2 levels are higher in winter than in summer, so if carbon dioxide really holds the heat why is it so cold in winter.

This reputed fact completely ignores the other fact that in any part of the globe it's only winter in half the world.

And overall south and north weather systems are interconnected. Population is much greater in the Northern Hemisphere, a major factor, and a 23.5 degree access tilt of the earth's poles really overrides, by a huge degree, any winter heating caused CO2 elevation. Winters will always be colder due just to the axial tilt.

Mr. Lundquist also says "on a warmer day, you will notice in areas of the snow where you have tossed a little dust or sand, the snow will melt much more quickly."

But why do we throw dust or sand on snow?

Usually to facilitate walking. And walking involves putting a 98.5 degree foot on the same snow usually multiple times. The sand may also contain salt or calcium chloride as melting agents.

Did Mr. Lundquist ever notice how much quicker snow melts when you clear the dirty top layer of snow off a pile? Many citizens facilitate melting and clear their lawns quicker by this practice.

I am a skeptic, like Mr. Lundquist, over supposed facts.

Are we getting facts from Science Canada or a scripted Conservative approved precis of the data? Facts are the net loser in a muzzled media.

CBC usually presents all sides of any subject and sending the whole government advertising budget to CBC would do more to facilitate a fact-based society than anything else.
