This confrontation between the politicians and teachers is totally ridiculous, especially when it leads to a walkout or strike.
They both work for the government. The teachers want earnings in the hierarchy pay scale, while the politicians are watching our purse.
While they are slugging it out, the students are losing big. In this competitive world, Canada has been brought to its knees, to almost just supplying natural resources, instead of manufactured goods. With an improved educational system, we can do much better.
Politicians and teachers need to sit down and solve this problem and get the students back to school for exams, to finish the year honourably. Even if both sides have to give a little.
