I'm writing regarding the poor quality and highly biased articles regarding campaign signs written by Mark Nielsen on Sept. 24 and 25. Mr. Nielsen clearly favors the Conservative, Mr. Doherty, and has no issue printing this propaganda. What is even more disturbing is that The Citizen allowed these articles to be published.

Signs from all parties, including the NDP, have gone missing, either blown away or stolen. Furthermore, Mr. Doherty's signs have been up the longest and are poorly tended to. It has been a very windy fall and sometimes the election signs need to be replaced; however, many of Mr. Doherty's signs have been blown down for weeks with no one from his campaign bothering to set them upright. It is not the fault of the other parties that Mr. Doherty takes such poor care of his property.

As well, all parties have been guilty of putting up signs in the wrong areas, including Mr. Doherty's team.

We all have eager volunteers who do their best and sometimes make mistakes. If a sign is in the wrong place, the proper response is to make a report to the city. Did Mr. Doherty's team even bother to do that before complaining to The Citizen?

Mr. Doherty and his supporters should be equally outraged by these poor quality articles as they make Mr. Doherty appear incompetent, paranoid and more concerned about his signs than the issues facing of Cariboo-Prince George residents.

Is it any wonder print is dying when Buzzfeed could write a more informative article?

But maybe this is the quality of news The Citizen has to offer. After all, it was the Vancouver Sun, not The Prince George Citizen, that first broke the news that Dick Harris racked in half a million dollars in travel expenses while living in Osoyoos.
