Shocking, intrusive, upsetting

I'm writing regarding the Aug. 16 front page photo of the homicide on Oak Street. The photograph was shocking, intrusive and upsetting. That man is someone's son.

If that were your boy lying dead in the road I know that you wouldn't have printed that photo.

To the police who allowed the photographer to take the picture, to the authors of the article and to the editor who allowed the printing - you should all be ashamed.

You may have sold more papers today, and elicited more gasps, but at what cost.

You've violated a victim and his family.

Just because you can - doesn't mean you should.

I'm seriously considering canceling my subscription.
