I must respond to Anthony Everett's Journey With Us column of Nov. 21.
Not once in his story does he tell us where the Games Gear is coming from? The host committee has asked local business to support the games with donations to the games committee, the spending of monies to improve and upgrade their business, and to show support for the games just as Mr. Everett suggests. I am sure the five local business that could supply the Games gear are feeling a little hurt what with that knife in their backs for not even getting a chance to quote on supplying gear for the Winter Games? The games are supposed to support the local community.
You want us to spend our money on gear that is not supporting our local businesses? I am sure you have reasons for this but none of your reasons support our local businesses. Shame on you host committee for not standing up for your local community businesses.
