A recent letter to your paper asserted that "science is confusing."
This is exactly and completely wrong. The layman may not understand much of science and its findings, but it is science that rolls back confusion and superstition. From the earliest days when a god was a thought to drag the sun through the sky, science has replaced superstition with rational explanations.
Gods do not make the stars to shine nor the Earth to spin. Nor did gods create life. It is telling that the writer was willing to reduce the role of God to a "Guardian of the Galaxy."
The rest is the realm of science.
All indications are that "Man" (sic) is indeed "an organic accident in a meaningless universe."
