How is Diversified Transportation, and School District 57, expecting children to get to school safe, when the bus stops are in the middle of construction? I live in a small community south of P.G., my child attends Buckhorn, and we are being ignored by both companies to move these stops into the community for safety. For the last three years, I have watched as vehicles have driven through the bus's lights, ignored that I am walking my son across the highway, or the bus driver's horn. And that was only in two-lane traffic! When said construction is finished, we are expected to cross four-lane traffic with turning lanes. Who on earth do I need to contact to rectify this ridiculous situation? If SD 57 and Diversified won't help me, who is higher on the chain to contact? Hopefully the Honourable Margaret MacDiarmid can do something for us. I know I am not the only concerned parent in my schools area. I am also sure there are a few other parents in this district with these complaints.
