Why all of a sudden we need a bylaw on RV parking. As long it is not on the city street impeding traffic, what's the problem. After all, isn't a driveway private property. Let's face it, esthetics in this town are a joke, so don't go saying an RV is unsightly in the driveway.
Don't anyone find it strange that a local RV dealer is making a huge storage lot for RVs. The right word at city hall can fill it up . You know, "nudge, nudge, wink wink" , and we have a bylaw forcing RVers to find parking for their RVs.
Sometimes I wonder if the city officials really do any thinking at all to put forward a nonsensical bylaw like this. Sometimes I wonder if they
could find their behinds using both hands.
A bylaw to enforce parking/no parking on a city street is palatable, but this is just plain neo-fascism at its best.
If my neighbor doesn't like my RV in my property, let them go obtain their own, or just plain shut up-tough nuggies.
It seems to me that this is just another money-grubbing attempt by the poobahs at city hall. It's bad enough they have tax me more to support the 2015 Olympics when I will receive no direct benefit from it. But you can bet every hotel, bar and eating establishment is going to make a killing. Looks like to me that city hall only enacts stuff that enriches their friends (make that political contributors).
It's time the citizens of Prince George woke up and take a good long look at some of the hijinks that goes on and get out there and vote. If don't vote you are not counted and you have no right to complain afterwards. There is power in that "X".
