I have just finished reading Todd Whitcombe's column entitled "The freedom to irk" in Tuesday's Citizen.
Thank you, Todd, for bringing this important right to our attention - the right to hold opinions. It is what I love so much about the P.G. Citizen - our opinions are welcome and printed, the opinions of columnists are welcome and printed and the letters to the editor are welcome and printed. All are opinions have space, are welcome and printed.
This is the great gift of living in a democracy. And yet, what a responsibility. Thank you for reminding me what a gift it is to live in this time and place where opinions of all sorts have a place - and stir my own thoughts, sometimes challenge them - and often prompting me to rethink what I have long accepted.
