SCHOOL DAZE

When the pantry's filled with plenty

We feast like no tomorrow,

So when the larder's getting lean,

Then why not share the sorrow?

Closing schools and busing kids -

That's where your thinking's at -

But why be grinding up the roast

When you could just trim the fat?

Reduce some of the garnishes

That clutter up the top

And, then, put common sense in charge

And let this nonsense stop!
