Restoring faith in humanity

There is quite a bit of news I notice lately about theft, robbery, assaults and other criminal activities. It’s heartbreaking and ever present in our society. I pray that some day, it changes.

There is quite a bit of news I notice lately about theft, robbery, assaults and other criminal activities. It’s heartbreaking and ever present in our society. I pray that some day, it changes.

I had that feeling of hope restored on March 2 outside of Walmart.

I unknowingly dropped my Michael Kohr’s wallet (the wallet was a gift to boot) in the parking lot - it had cash, my ID and my cards in it.

I didn’t realize it until we reached Vanderhoof as we were making our way home.

I went into panic mode and even had my spouse, my daughter and cousin search the truck, all the while the cold wind was cutting into us. Then it dawned on me... Walmart. It has to be there.

I called Walmart and was patched through to customer service - lo and behold - it was turned in.

Thankfully my dad was able to pick it up for me and bring it back home. All the contents, including the cash ($650), was not taken.

I just want to thank whomever it was for being honest. If I only knew who it was, I would say thank you in person or via telephone call. It doesn’t seem enough to say thank you and only wish the best of luck with your life, health and daily living. Definitely restored my faith in humanity. A heart of gold.
