Moralizers have a need to persecute others as sinners. Just as they need the concept of a "hell" for the so-called sinners, they need their bibles to moralize that they are pure from sin, and others are the rotten ones that their favorite gods will penalize.
Bibles are books for multiplying selfish intentions in the believers.
It's their favourite pastime to get their intellects in the bible and dream of themselves in heaven, floating around with their angel-wings, pampered by their devoted god that rightfully disowned all the sinners as "outcasts."
For those that want to see, the insanity of religion speaks for itself. More often than not, religion is anything but selfless.
