Add another "R" to the recycling logo for Prince George.....Ridiculous!
Came home from work to find my blue container of plastics - milk jugs mostly, to still be sitting full by my curb. On further investigating I found a rain soaked note indicating they do not take "plastic bags". I apparently inadvertently had placed a plastic bag and a bread bag in my plastics - clearly there must be a policy in place that prohibits the collector from simply removing the "disallowed"recycling object and still collecting the appropriate plastics? For a city the size of Prince George I fail to understand why they went with the individual bins system for recycling when so many other cities simply have one recycling bin that is very similar to the standard garbage can? Nonetheless, I suppose I will take the left-behind plastics to the recycling center along with my glass recycling that apparently the City has not figured out how to recycle yet.
