When I read the letter to the editor today regarding changes that were made in The Citizen it reminded me that I had meant to express my opinion as well and decided now was the time.
I think for the most part The Citizen does a pretty good job of getting the news out and keeping us informed, but like one or maybe more than one of your other readers, the new comics irk me.
I can understand giving new comic strips and their creators a chance to get their comics out there and known, but was it necessary to get rid of all of my favourites?
I think Peanuts and For Better Or Worse are much more family-oriented and more relatable than some of these new ones. I just can't seem to get used to the new ones.
My suggestion is a good mix of some our old favourites along with some of the new. Maybe have different comics on different days.
Just a suggestion.
Not just on Saturdays either. It is something worth considering.
