RCMP member performs good deed

I would like to share with you a good story about our police force. On Tuesday morning, my wife and I (both seniors) were unloading a pickup full of boxes at our store when a police cruiser pulled up behind our truck.

I would like to share with you a good story about our police force. On Tuesday morning, my wife and I (both seniors) were unloading a pickup full of boxes at our store when a police cruiser pulled up behind our truck.

When I saw the cruiser I wondered what I had done wrong. The officer got out of the car, and when I asked her what was up, she said that it looked like we needed a hand with the boxes, so she jumped in the truck and started helping us unload. Not only did she help us unload, but she even carried some of the heavier boxes in to the store for us.

Before I could thank the officer she jumped in her car and was gone. I can only say that it made me feel good to see someone help without being asked or wanting money. In the 47 years of being in business I have never had such an act of kindness done for me.

This officer has just made me feel that the RCMP are not just a police force, but they are there to help every day people.
