Random acts of kindness

They do exist! It is so great to be reminded that even with all of the terrible things that go on in the city there are still very good, genuine, kind people out there too! A couple Saturdays ago was a very sad and hard day for our family.

A couple Saturdays ago was a very sad and hard day for our family. My husband and I had to take our little old dog to be put down. On our way home went through the drive-through at Tim Hortons in College Heights. As I went to pay for our drinks the worker told us not to worry about it; that the lady in front of us took care of it. She told them that we looked like we were upset and she wanted to do something for us! The lady at the drive-through must have thought I was crazy because I just burst out crying again, but they were happy tears. I was so shocked and obviously not expecting such a nice gesture from an absolute stranger. My husband says that he will remember the truck if he ever sees it again and I hope we do get to say thank you in person. Until then this is our way of saying thank you so much to the lady in the black Ford truck, who was at Tim's Saturday morning on Sept. 18.

You added a little sunshine to our cloudy day!
