Congratulations to Josiah Wilson for his qualifying for the upcoming all-native basketball tournament as stated by The Canadian Press in your March 8 edition, not due to his athletic ability but because of his race.

Congratulations to Josiah Wilson for his qualifying for the upcoming all-native basketball tournament as stated by The Canadian Press in your March 8 edition, not due to his athletic ability but because of his race.

This decision has shades of Nazi Germany in the 30s and South Africa in the height of apartheid in the 60s.

I don't think there were any Jewish athletes representing Germany during the 1936 Munich Olympics or black athletes representing South Africa in rugby, soccer or any other event.

I have asked the BC Human Rights Council if I could host an all Caucasian baseball tournament this summer.

I am still waiting for a reply.
