Put down the phone, breakfast sandwich and drive

I woke up this morning to read my Citizen and see the front page declaring Citizen struck by pickup truck.

I woke up this morning to read my Citizen and see the front page declaring Citizen struck by pickup truck. I then made my way into town from the Hart Highway area and while travelling south into town caught up to a late model grey Honda in the centre lane having a hard time keeping from wandering from line to line. Unfortunately, to no surprise, when I caught up to this car I noticed the female driver texting away while driving down the highway. The driver continued texting for a few kilometres until she came to a somewhat shaky stop at the lights by the pulp mill road where she over-ran the stop line. Glancing over at her I noticed her fumbling with her gear shift, phone in hand and the other hand fumbling with a breakfast sandwich of some sort. Do you not realize what an incredible privilege and responsibility it is to drive a car?

Give your head a shake and smarten up please. It goes without saying, before it's too late.
