Public transit has a way to go

"Currently, Prince George public transportation is excellent," one of my friends said. He came to Prince George a few years ago to continue his studies at UNBC. He was talking about previous service; he explained that you could not find any buses on Saturdays and Sundays. On weekdays, the bus only operated until 9.30 p.m., which did not allow students with evening classes to get home. When I heard this information, I realized that the bus service was even worse than now. However, I still think it can be better in the future. For example, during the summer when UNBC is not in full session, you can catch the bus only twice in one hour. On Sundays, the bus operates only until 5 p.m., which makes almost any outdoor activity on Sunday afternoon impossible.

As a UNBC student, I have difficulty with the bus service. I would like to see more frequent bus service. By encouraging people to use the bus instead of using their own vehicles, the city could increase the number of buses in operation.
