My letter is in response to Rian Bennett's letter.
In her/his letter they talk about the businesses that the Coyote's proponents currently own. I am the proud owner of six businesses in town and currently employ 43 people.
Obviously Rian is taking a shot at one of my pubs, The First Litre.
We have owned this business since around 1978. We run it with pride and do lots for the community with proceeds from it. We help the SPCA, CDC, St. Vincent de Paul, Salvation Army, etc. We also do four $1,000 bursaries at area high schools each year.
We love P.G. and are proud to be able to help.
Why can't anyone ever bring up the Westwood Sports Pub?
(Rian, we would like to buy you and a friend a lovely steak sandwich.)
We, the proponents, bought and resurrected the Westwood Sports Pub about a year ago.
I personally invite everyone to come and see how this business is run, to put to rest any fear of how we will run Coyote's. You will see a clean, well-run pub operation.
Please have a look at our vision for the nightclub.
It will be a first-class operation run with pride, and bring back fun for the adult crowd who just want to dance. At the club we will employ about 40 more staff and provide first-class bands six nights a week. In closing, I am just starting up the Pay it Forward 5000 Club.
We are the first family in the club donating $5,000 to the Salvation Army.
After your lunch at the Westwood, I encourage you to go by the Salvation Army and become the second family. I am very proud of my family and our businesses.
So, let's not sling mud, as we are proud to call P.G. home and try, and do, a lot for the local community.
