Like Dr Art Fredeen and his colleagues, I was also shocked at the two poorly put-together editorials by Neil Godbout in support of the Northern Gateway Pipeline project.
I was also one of the dozens of people who gave oral statements to the Joint Review Panel last week, and was impressed that no one came and spoke in favour of the project.
Where were you?
Your premise that the project should go ahead because it would be "worth the risk" seemed to be based on sketchy maths, probably a gut feeling, and a problem seeing beyond the short term. Might I suggest that you offer the editorial keyboard to other members of the Citizen staff, so that we can see what they think?

Editor's Note: Ashley MacDonald writes an editorial that appears every Monday and an editorial by Arthur Williams appears Tuesdays. Arthur and I have already agreed to disagree in writing last week about the resignation of Dr. Katakkar. For a well-argued and thoughtful opposing view of the Northern Gateway Pipeline from a Citizen staff member, please pick up this coming Monday's paper for Rodney Venis's Flytrap column.
